Vintage Modern Library edition of this lovely anthology of poetry and fairy tales by Oscar Wilde, also including some of  his very well thought of translations of Greek tragedy.  Wilde was one of the first 12 authors published by The Modern Library and this edition, though undated, was published no later than 1967 and quite possibly earlier, as its Rockwell-Kent endpapers were in use from 1929  to 1967. It is either missing its dust jacket or is one of the buckram covered editions that were originally issued without any dust jacket at all. This was because the buckram itself was very hard wearing. Though I am not an expert in Modern Library editions, I believe this to be one of the buckrams based on Toledano's listings (this book is collection no. 84 - please see modernlib.com for a complete discussion if interested).

This book has a small pen mark on the right hand side front endpaper, just visible in close up image no. 4.Otherwise, it is in good condition with no other markings or annotations, tight stitching, original boards with gilt embossed title and torch bearer logo to spine and front cover, top edges sprayed black.

If you are into either Oscar Wilde or The Modern Library I think you would love this.
